Jamaica (2015)

In 1960s Belfast, a little boy with a wild imagination — inspired by his comics and books — resolves to stowaway on a boat to Jamaica and work there on a plantation, far from his conservative home, his brutal father and bickering parents.

This was my first film. It was a brilliant experience, collaborating with a small crew and with cinematographer Jim Crone. The film screened at several international festivals including Hollyshorts, Dances With Films, Belfast Film Festival and Cine Pobre. I wrote, directed and was production designer on this project. I produced the film with my father, Johnny. The film stars Josh Webster, Lacy Moore and Nigel O’Neill.
