The Blind Sea (2023)
The Blind Sea is a documentary short film based on an essay written by psychoanalytic psychotherapist David Smith, exploring the social and psychological implications of sea swimming, which has become increasingly popular in Ireland over recent years.
I directed the film and produced it with my husband, Alfie. It was shot by Aidan Gault in Bangor, County Down, with the help of Michael Boyle. Music is by Minco Eggersman. Sound design is by Adam Rensch. The above artwork is by Polytechnic.
