Outopia & Extimacy (2020)
Outopia and Extimacy are a pair of experimental short films based on the imaginary work of a forgotten Slovene director.
The short films’ screenings include: Moscow Shorts (award for best experimental short film); Austin Arthouse Film Festival (nominee for Gondry, Jodorowsky and Aronofsky awarrds); Austin Arthouse Film Festival Horror Challenge; DANCINEMA; Kinomorphia; Vinilonga International Short Film and Music Video Festival; FilmFest by Rogue Dancer; Festival de Cortos Vinilonga @ Cine Club Lucero; Kino Tanca Online with Mazowiecki Instytut Kultury and Fundacja Artystyczna PERFORM; The Arthouse Challenge (jury award); Austin Arthouse Film Festiva (Coppola Award nominee)l; Festival Transterritorial de Cine Underground; Asphalte Magazine.
I wrote and directed these short films and produced them with Johnny and Peter. They are based on original ideas by Adrián Romero. The cinematographer was Aidan Gault, choreography was by Leonie McDonagh, editing by Caleb Swyers and music by Dom Kirtley.
