The Outsider
The Outsider is a contemporary fable, inspired by the novel of the same name by Albert Camus, set in Belfast. The main character is a guard on an army base, imprisoned following an incident with his personal protection weapon. With an experimental, ‘documentary’-like structure, it explores questions of double justice and the privatisation of the public space via the development of social media. Production is supported by Hugh Schulze and by Future Screens, as part of a research project into social media and storytelling.
